Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026 · Draft — we recommend a legal review before the full launch.
1. Introductory provisions
PokeBid is an online classifieds portal (marketplace) that lets registered users list and buy collectible Pokémon cards and related collectibles. PokeBid is an intermediary for listings and communication — it is neither the seller nor the buyer and is not a party to the purchase contract between users.
The portal is operated by CODEUPP CREATIVE s. r. o., Sadová 162/38, 093 03 Vranov nad Topľou, Slovakia, Company ID (IČO) 57367264, Tax ID (DIČ) 2122686973 (the “operator”). The operator is not a VAT payer. Contact: info@pokebid.sk.
2. Registration and account
Listing and messaging require registration and email verification. The user is responsible for the accuracy of their details and for the activity on their account. One user = one account. Registration is intended for persons aged 16+; younger users only with the consent of a legal guardian.
3. Listing rules
Listing counterfeits, replicas, stolen goods or misleading offers is prohibited. Photos must be your own and show the actual product. For sealed products a photo of the wrap/seal is mandatory. The stated condition and grading must be truthful. PokeBid reserves the right to hide or delete a listing, or block an account, if the rules are broken.
4. Transactions and payments
Payment and delivery are arranged directly between the buyer and the seller. PokeBid does not provide a payment gateway or escrow and bears no responsibility for direct transactions between users. We recommend trading with verified sellers and using safe payment methods.
5. Promotion and credit
A seller can use credit to highlight (promote) a listing. Credit is a paid additional visibility tool that the user tops up in advance; it is not a guarantee of a sale, is not legal tender and cannot be paid out in cash. Credit is not refunded for promotion already provided. The operator issues a tax document for top-ups electronically.
6. Liability
PokeBid makes reasonable efforts to keep the platform safe (moderation, reporting, anti-scam measures), but does not guarantee the authenticity of goods or the behaviour of users. The relevant user is responsible for the content of their listing and the course of the transaction.
7. Consumer, withdrawal and complaints (credit)
Topping up credit is the provision of a digital service to a consumer. A consumer generally has the right to withdraw within 14 days. By topping up, however, the user expressly requests immediate access to the credit and acknowledges that by using (spending) the credit they lose the right of withdrawal for the portion used. Unused credit will be refunded on request (info@pokebid.sk) within 14 days. Complaints about the paid service (credit/promotion) can be submitted to info@pokebid.sk and will be handled without undue delay.
8. Alternative dispute resolution
If a consumer is not satisfied with how a complaint was handled, they may ask the operator for redress. If the operator rejects the request or does not reply within 30 days, the consumer has the right to alternative dispute resolution (ADR); the competent body is the Slovak Trade Inspection (www.soi.sk), or another authorised entity. Disputes can also be resolved via the EU ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
9. Final provisions
PokeBid may update these terms; we will inform you about substantial changes. These relations are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic.
